Well - Since the first post about this truck and church I have been confronted with questions about the history of the building. I was embarrassed to say I had not taken the time to do my research. That is no longer the case. After a couple of calls to the surrounding towns, I was able to get in touch with the owner of the building, Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller just so happens to be a town councilman and was very knowledgeable about the history of the building and very willing to share that knowledge with me.
The house, originally located in the center of town, is considered to be one of the oldest buildings in town. The house once served as a country store during the pre 1930's. Today, the house sits just outside of town and serves as a distribution center for the Christ Central Institute where the group provides fresh local produce to the hungry. The group intends to restore the 1949 Ford Truck and use it to deliver produce to the hungry.
That's not all! Mr. Miller has invited me to visit the two other houses he owns in town and would like me to photograph the inside of the church.
More photos from this series to come - Stay tuned!
